Pu’u’ala of Hawaii is a family owned and operated certified organic farm and ranch located on the beautiful lush slopes of Mauna Kea volcano near the town of Honokaa on the Island of Hawaii. Our certified organic farm contains over a thousand acres of emerald green fields where our main crops of Awa (Kava), Neem and Noni plants happily soak up the warm Pacific breezes and constant sunlight that only this tropical environment can provide.
Pu’u’ala of Hawaii is a certified organic farm by the Hawaii Organic Farmers Association (HOFA). HOFA insures on a yearly basis that we are meeting and exceeding requirements set forth by the Organic Food Production Act (OFPA), the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB), and the National Organic Program (NOP-USDA) as well as the certification guidelines and standards specific to the islands of Hawaii. We are also members of the Organic Trade Association (OTA) and the National Nutritional Foods Association (NNFA). Our membership in these organizations enables us to stay up to date on all organic requirements so that we can deliver quality organic products from our land to you.
We grow three unique Polynesian plants, Awa, Neem and Noni and sell the herbs in bulk, six delicious organic herbal teas, and extracts. Pu’u’ala Awa, Neem and Noni begin in our certified organic nursery, where the Keiki (baby) plants are raised. They then mature in our Hamakua Coast fields with a view of the Pacific Ocean… waving Aloha in the tropical breeze to the passing whales.

Pu’u’ala
is also a ranch, which raises happy “organic” cattle. Our temperatures
are so friendly we have no barn. Our livestock consists of Brangus and Angus
bulls, steers and heifers that graze on our emerald green pastures. The farm
is also taken care of by our two black labs, Pu’u and ‘ala.
